Marine biotechnology is a branch of biotechnology which is the integration of aqua life(aquatic animals, plants, microbes, and so on) and biotechnological apparatus to get  bio-products to be desired. 

In recent times, marine biotechnology is also called as blue biotechnology. Because marine is the reservoir of aquatic life and most of them are still unknown. Marine can unlock the diversity of new life forms  for  biotechnologists to discover the aquatic lives that to be modified for beneficial aspects.
