Environmental Biotechnology

In broad sense environmental biotechnology is the biotechnology of environment. It deals with scientific study of environment with living creatures, pollution, remediation of harmful chemicals, waste management, exploitation of natural resources and their effects, negative effects of nature’s act and so on. Mitigation of environmental problems either created from human interference or non-human interference, biotechnology tools and techniques is aim of environmental biotechnology.

The microbes present in air and in  liquid and solid waste may be pathogenic or non-pathogenic. Their evaluation and treatment of waste material and transformation into wealth or non- harmful products is a major dimension of environmental biotechnology. Environmental biotechnology can accept all environmental problems with biotechnology.
