Coronavirus, a single-stranded RNA virus, has led to the worldwide death of half millions of people and millions of positive cases. At the present method of testing a person infected by coronavirus by the kit is time-consuming which is estimated of approximately 250 persons a day because all processes are done manually. To test in a time-efficient manner, IISER (PUNE) has developed automated Ribonucleic acid (RNA) extractor. The RNA extractor so developed tests 100 samples in an hour with minimal intervention of human personnel. Testing a person infected by this novel coronavirus is very essential to check it’s spread and for this, this advanced research by IISER in the field of testing would prove very crucial.
